helmet_mod

Terminei de fazer os ultimos ajustes no visualizador. não esta perfeito, mas ja funciona como eu gostaria.  Resolvi seguir a dica do henrique e buscar por coisas no Blackwood e  Helmets.  Acabei achando uns cones, placas , muros .. mas nada util.  No arquivo helmet achei algo interessante … achei um capacete !

Após uns testes surgiu algo bizarro .. eu vi o Spock no LFS !  Porém , é o Spock da realidade alternativa, o que tem cavanhaque.

Infelizmente, não vi nenhum sinal das rodas 😦

    hey! i got the pack with lfs cars with .obj extension and does it mean i can edit in for example 3ds max? if so, how to convert them to .vob again?

    OMG Rangel. Dont tell me u can modify the red and white barriers to only white. Me and a few hundred other players would kill for that…
    Please please please lol.
    If u can could u make a mod with only white barriers (The Long Red and white barrier ombject in shift + u menu)

      Yep, is possible. But is not only change the texure file ?
      Any way, next month i will make some tools for mod Blackwood data. the last thing that is missing is some texture alignment tests.

    Naah, i can make any textures myself. What everyone really wants isto get rid of that nasty RED colored polygon. Cause thats what it is, parts of that model get polygon colored ingame. Raminds of a candy bar ^^. So if u could just mod it so that the whole barrier model is white polygons, that would be soo awesome. U could then finally make some unique looking layouts for autocross for example. Eehm and btw did u only find a way to modify that barrier in blackwood? That would be abit pitty. But none the less, good job on you shenanigans.

    ye and that friver model is sick. Is the whole model new? or woot. It looks new, but did u also find a way to edit the animation etc?
    Maybe make him shift, clutc, brake and heel and toe whaha

      Hum … i dont see much things in blackwood, just made some tests. But is .. is possible replace any blackwood object for another edited in zmodeler/3DS with new texture data.
      Anyway … I thing that an public version of blackwood mod tool is possible … Devs dont say anything about Backwood mesh .. only car mesh.
      Thats head is a mod.. i got the head model from internet in 3DS file format and modify to replace the helmet… is easy to do.

      The body is more hard to change, is full conected with animation data, if the shape is change, i must rebuild all animations for her.

    Cara isso de mudar os objetos da Blackwood é uma coisa otima, pq a gente tem uns mods de objetos novos que o Henrique fez que é show de bola, imagina poder fazer o proprios objetos da pista, ou quem sabe até mesmo mudar a pista e ou fazer uma pista nova. Isso é show de boa. ^^

    I got to say, i would not worry about what the dev’s think any more, magnot has released his car importer for lfs, i think its safe to say, the dev’s lost!

    Editing the blackwoods objects would be useful. I have wanted to make the barriers about 25% shorter so that I can see over them more clearly.

      No momento estou de ferias … Mas estou acompanhando como esta sendo a divulgação do plugin. Se nada de “estranho”ocorrer nestes dias, eu devo liberar uma API para modificar o blackwood e o helmet. “oficialmente” nao posso liberar uma tool para mudar os carros (quebra de eula) … mas como o backwood eh igual aos vobs ….

    Just wanted to say that u misunderstood me rangel. I dont really care about blackwood red and white barriers. The once that matter the most are for Autocross and other maps like fe ans so etc. i think those barriers polygon color data is coded into the lfs.exe or something. I could be wrong tho.

      The barrier colours are a texture. You can find the barrier and change it with an image editor(you may need a dds converter to edit them), they colour is not coded into lfs.exe. I can’t remember where the texture is but I think its a dds in the dds folder, if not, I remember an images or img folder.

      The lfs.exre only change the color and texture for things that names match .. if the object name and material name has change, the exe do not change anything.
      Change the internal names and put custon color/texture is enouch for get out the lfs colors change.

    No its not a texture. Red and white barriers. You have short once ( small red, small white) and u have a long one, which has botch of the short once. Red and White.Sure u can make a texture fr it but the red color is a polygon color, NOT a texture. So its either in some cmx or vob for each track or somewhere else but it is polygon color for sho. Ive even made a thread about this on lfsforum. I would kill to get those nasty red barriers white…………

      Mudar a cabeça do player ? a unica diferenca eh que o helmet tem 4 bytes a mais que os vobs no cabeçalho… fora isso elas são iguais aos veiculos.
      Mas eu estou fazendo um gen_black, para modificar o arquivo blackwood e o helmet e vai ser publico.

    Amigo algo estranho esta acontecendo no meu LFS. Sempre q eu troco algum carro como AE86 ou outros carros, ele fica todo cortado, com partes transparentes, sem capô ou sem grades, detalhes do DDS esta dando esse erro. Alguem pode me ajudar? Tenho q baixar algum patch ou arquivo pra corrigi-lo?
